The Zhitomir Central Stadium, located in the heart of Ukraine’s Zhitomir city, serves as the home ground for FC Polissya. This project marks a significant milestone in stadium development, combining advanced turf technology with precision engineering.
The project involved the removal of the old artificial turf, followed by a laser-guided correction of the stadium’s infrastructure to ensure a perfectly leveled surface. The installation of the new hybrid turf was completed on July 1, 2024, with seeding taking place on July 10, 2024.
Remarkably, the first training match was held just 36 days after seeding, on August 16, 2024, followed by the first official match on August 17, 2024. Achieving such a rapid turnaround is considered a record time, particularly given Ukraine’s challenging weather conditions.
This impressive timeline was made possible through the meticulous organization and execution of all infrastructure work and the grass cultivation program by ProGreen.
